The Kosovo’s President, Hashim Thaci, has instructed Kosovo’s the Chief Prosecutor and all prosecutors in the country to avoid mistakes that were made by UNMIK Administration and EULEX, which had amnestied Serbian crimes in Kosovo.

“The Serbian genocide and ethnic cleansing, hundreds of massacres and thousands of rapes have never been tried during the last 20 years, while Serbian criminals were just amnestied and rewarded, and were settled in the highest structures of the Serbian state,” President said.

Thaci also stressed that even though Albanians were the victims, they’re being investigated and convicted for 20 years, in a process that is longer than the World War II crime investigations.

“Now is the time for our justice system, without any political or diplomatic interference, to investigate, prosecute and punish all Serbian criminals that killed around 13,000 Albanian civilians – of whom about 1,300 were children, who raped over 20,000 Albanian women and committed more than 400 massacres all around Kosovo,” country’s President emphasized.
