Minister of Defense, Anton Quni, who is a member of the LDK, today has officially accepted his new role as the head of this institution, Periskopi reports.

The job was handed over to him by the former Minister, Rrustem Berisha, whom Quni invited to act as his Senior Political Adviser in the cabinet.

Berisha, who headed the defense ministry until now, said that he will gladly accept whatever is requested from his former comrade, Mr. Quni, in order to advance further the Ministry of Defense and the Kosovo Security Force.

However, Mr. Berisha has long been accused as involved in the case known as “the Veterans”,  the news portal Betimi per Drejtesi reports today.

Otherwise, Vetevendosje and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) have kept their election campaign promises for not running anyone for the deputy if indicted for corruption.
