Former US Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright arrived in Kosovo this afternoon, and she has been welcomed by former President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga.

The latter has stated that Albright was among the most powerful contributors to our freedom and independence.

“Secretary Albright, who was uncompromised toward the violence that the Milosevic regime was practicing in Kosovo, today came to a Kosovo that cultivates the values she is committed too – freedom, democracy, tolerance and peace,” Jahjaga wrote, among others, on her statement.

However, in part of her statement Jahjaga has misspelled the name of Mrs. Albright, by writing it as Madeline instead of Madeleine. As this misspelling was unintentional, she will hopefully  not miss it again during the rest of the visit.
