Djukanovic arrives in Tirana tomorrow, to meet with Rama, Vucic and Zaev

Montenegrin President, Milo Djukanovic, participation in the meeting in Tirana, together with Albania, Serbia and Northern Macedonia, an initiative known as Mini-Schengen, is officially confirmed today by Podgorica.

Djukanovic will leave for Tirana tomorrow, upon invitation sent by Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, for attending the meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister of the Northern Macedonia Zoran Zaev.

“The participation of President Djukanovic represents confirmation of Montenegro’s commitment to regional cooperation and stability, the improvement of good neighbor relations, and its responsibility for the obligations deriving from the EU negotiation process. The Tirana meeting represents an opportunity for the open dialogue on regional issues, common development priorities and on European perspective of the Western Balkans,” the Montenegrin presidency’s announcement on Djukanovic’s visit to Albania stressees.

Otherwise, Kosovo will not attend the meeting on the initiative, known as “the Mini-Schengen”.
