Detained Russians fined with 250 Euros each

Two Russian nationals, detained in northern Kosovo for illegal border crossing to Kosovo, were fined 250 Euros each and will have to leave Kosovo, the presiding judge of the Basic Court of Mitrovica, Nikola Kabasic told Radio Free Europe. They’re also required to pay court costs.

Two Russian nationals, a man and a woman, were arrested by Kosovo Police on January 13th.

According to RFE sources, they’ve told Kosovo authorities that they intended to reach Lukovska Banja, a rehabilitation spa center in southern Serbia, near the Jarina border-crossing point, though navigation system had mistakenly sent them to Kosovo border.

Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica, Slobodan Bakic, says that two Russians initially attempted to cross the Jarina border crossing, but they’re were returned due to lack of visas. In their second try to reach the spa they’ve used alternative routes and entered Kosovo, where they were later been caught by the police.

Prosecutor identified them as Egor Igorevic (Igor Krasikov) and Marina Vladimirovna Krasikova.
