Serbian Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic, has vowed to continue the fight against Kosovo’s independence.

The head of Serbian diplomacy has announced intensification of relations with China and Russia, in order to continue obstructing Kosovo’s membership in international organizations, as well as withdrawal of recognition of the state of Kosovo, Periskopi reports.

“I expect that more states to withdraw recognition. We will continue our diplomatic actions against Kosovo’s membership in international organizations and institutions, “Dacic said.

Dacic also said that he will continue to strengthen relations, not only with Russia and China, but with the US, France, Germany, the UK as well, in order to “to maintain relations with traditional friends around the world.”

Otherwise, Serbia was widely criticized by international community for its refusal to recognize Kosovo’s independence by its open lobbying to numerous states to withdraw their recognition of Kosovo.  This already fraught relationship took a serious blow when Pristina slapped a 100-percent tariff on Serbian goods in response to Belgrade’s insistent attempts for undermining its standing on the world stage.
