The LDK deputy chairman, Agim Veliu, says that in discussions with Vetevendosje they’re not insisting on the post of the president, but this post belongs to them.

He made this statement for media from the LDK headquarters, where two members of the German Bundestag, Peter Beyer and Christian Schmidt, are having meeting with Veliu’s boss, Periskopi reports.

“We’re not insisting, but we have the right on president’s post. We want the balance of office, as the president and the prime minister would be too much for Vetevendoje. However, as a party, we remain open for talks,” Veliu says.

Otherwise, the other deputy chairman of the LDK, Lufti Haziri, is also attending the meeting with two high German officials. On the other side, even though it was previously reported differently by the media, Vjosa Osmani is not present in the meeting.
