There will be no meeting today between the leaders of Vetvendosje (VV), Albin Kurti and of the LDK, Isa Mustafa, Mr. Kurti announced.

Yet, the LDK continues its demand for the post of president to be included in the agreement with VV. Furthermore, it demands extra commitment on this issue.

Meanwhile Mr. Kurti says that, even though there will be no meeting today, the frequent meetings of officials will continue until the agreement is reached. According to him, there are still no concrete results in terms of signing the ruling coalition with the LDK.

“I can’t have any news on the LDK talks without concrete results. I’ve said this before and I will repeat it again, there is no meeting today, but there will be continuous and more intense meetings and communications until we reach the agreement aspired by both sides … When we have concrete results I’ll announce the news, but that’s not the case yet,”, he explained.

When asked whether the call of the constituent session by Kosovo President, Hashim Thaci, is a pressure for reaching the coalition agreement, Kurti says that the president has offered them more time than needed.

“The President of Kosovo has pushed to the maximum the date, when the constituent meeting for the seventh legislature will be held, as the last date was October 26th. I hope that he give us more time than needed. We’re giving our best to do so, but I reiterate that in terms of concrete results, you will have them… We’ve agreed to proceed quickly towards the agreement as the people decided that. It’s not as much the matter of superiority among both sides , but it’s a necessity imposed  by October 6,” he concluded.
