Six Parliamentary Committees to be led by the opposition

During its meeting held today the Presidency of the Assembly has divided the Parliamentary Committees. The VV-LDK coalition, along with minorities, will lead eight out of 14 committees.

According to the Assembly Speaker, Vjosa Osmani, Parliamentary Groups is expected to name their members by Wednesday in order to have the Committees voted in the Assembly during the plenary session on Thursday.

Vetevendosje will lead the Committee on Budget and Finance; Committee on Internal Affairs, Security and Oversight of the KSF; Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development.

The LDK will lead the Committee on European Integration; Committee on Legislation and the Committee on Education, Science and Technology, Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

The PDK is to lead Committee on Public Administration, Local Government and Media; Public Finance Oversight Committee and the Kosovo Intelligence Agency Oversight Committee.

The AAK will lead the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora, as well as the Committee on Health, Labor and Social Welfare.

NISMA will chair Committee for Economic Development, Infrastructure, Trade, Industry and Regional Development.

Srpska Lista will lead Commission for Community Rights and Returns, and the 6 Plus Parliamentary Group will lead the Human Rights, Gender Equality, Missing Persons and Petitions Commission.
