Through a video recording, Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, congratulated the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo for their biggest day, although he doesn’t sound hopeful at all in the words he says.

“Independence is our constant effort, and the work for it will not stop,” Kurti has started his message, while adding that Kosovo is now a step behind its people, and hence “it’s not in its best days,” Periskopi cites his words further.

He then revives some optimistic tones, by saying that “the hope for our people is our duty.”

“We all have differences and disagreements, but as a Government it is time to make decisions. We will not avoid difficulties,” he says.

In the video, Kurti is positioned alongside with the Declaration of Kosovo Independence, which was signed by all the members of the Assembly of Kosovo, on 17 February 2008.
