The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and the Vetevendosje (VV) have failed until now to find consensus for an agreement, as both parties stress that they don’t have any other offers for one another, Periskopi writes.

Isa Mustafa, on the other hand, made clear to Vetvendosje that the deal with them must either be reached by the end of this week or it should be declared as failed.

According to Albulena Haxhiu, from Vetevendosje, these are crucial days for agreement with the LDK and for establishment of the institutions.

In a statement to Periskopi, Haxhiu says that VV has no other offer for LDK,  but they will work hard these days to reach an agreement as they’re already within  the timeline for creation of the government.

“We’ve entered defined timeline for creation of the government, hence we will during these days try to reach an agreement with the LDK, although we have already made our last offer. We will work hard these days, as these days are crucial for finding a path,” Haxhiu says for Periskopi.

When asked whether VV’s other option is that of co-governing with the minorities, Haxhiu says that she cannot talk about any other option as their main focus is the agreement with the LDK.

Otherwise, the Constitution of Kosovo determines that the Government of Kosovo can be formed by the party or coalition that won the elections, which then has the right to choose a political party or parties, with whom it wants to form a new government for a four-years term.
