In a statement made for Zeri newspaper, the university professor, Arben Fetoshi, have mentioned few options that could rule out new elections.

According to Fetoshi, international pressure can play an important role in reaching the agreement between VV and the LDK.

“Constitution of the new legislature is an important step, which gives direction to solution. It, in my opinion requires an increased pressure from international factors. I’m convinced that there will be a strong rejection of the idea for new elections, hence I do think that the agreement between Vetevendosje and the LDK can be reached through other formula,” he said.

Fetoshi also said that, although it may be complicated to reach an agreement following the election of the Speaker of the Assembly, opportunities for coalition that can still be considered, as both positions, that of the president and of the prime minister are negotiable.

“Following Konjufca’s election as the head of the Assembly, the formula could now include the post of president, and perhaps that of the prime minister. If Vetevendosje will not compromise with the prime minister’s post, then solution may include the president’s post and a larger number of ministries for the LDK. I’m therefore convinced that Albin Kurti can lead the next government only if he guarantees president’s post and a larger number of ministries for the LDK, or even the prime minister’s post, if he eventually agrees to give up from it,” Fetoshi explained.
